I was supposed to be seeing my ‘friend’, Kim (she/her) today, for an exciting time watching her have a flu jab in a car park followed by a breathtaking trip around a supermarket. (I actually do love going around supermarkets). Anyway she forgot she had an appointment to have her nails done so I didn’t feel the need to watch that too, I’ll catch up with her tomorrow.
Having a free day, I decided to make some butter (like you do). Don’t think I usually have half a litre of cream just going spare in the fridge. I bought a couple of cartons of cream the other day with the intention of producing butter. It’s surprisingly easy to do and I ended up with 320g of butter plus 300ml of buttermilk that I can use to make something (TBA). Making your own is actually a bit cheaper than buying a block of butter and tastes good too and you get to say “I make my own butter” with a superior smug look on your face.
